Planning
What's happening?
In response to the acute need for well-located housing, an Expression of Interest (EOI) was lodged with the Housing Delivery Authority (HDA) for a housing-led proposal that aligns with the approved rezoning.
This EOI was accepted in September 2025, with the NSW Planning Minister declaring the redevelopment of the former WSU site in Milperra as ‘State Significant Development’ (SSD).
Next steps include lodging SSDA1a for civil works and the first 62 homes, followed by another SSDA1b for the balance of homes. Throughout these stages of lodgement, there will be regular updates and opportunities for engagement for the local community.
